To provide a midwifery service that gives women the opportunity

play an active role in pregnancy, labour and delivery
without
endangering their or their baby’s life.
OUR MISSION
In order to provide the above we will:
Keep within the scope of practice at all times by adhering to the Section 45 (1) (q) of the Nursing Act, 1978 (Act No. 50 of 1978).
Whilst attending births we will respect the culture and the beliefs of our clients at all times.
Be professional, non-judgemental and compassionate at all times.
Give the client the opportunity to have a positive
experience,
regardless of the outcome of the labour and delivery
by providing all the relevant information
to make the best
decisions for herself and her family.
Deal with the client and her family with honesty and
integrity
and keep all concerned informed at all times.
Ensure that the necessary consent is given by the client, verbally or
written,
before performing any procedure on them
or their babies.
Keep confidentiality a priority.
Provide a safe haven where the client and her family can express their concerns.
Keep ourselves up to date with the latest developments in midwifery practice,
e.g. attending seminars, workshops etc.
